CMS is sent to international technology trade shows to seek out and assess what is new and real in manufacturing technology, preparing reports and podcasts of findings for the sponsors.
CMS conducts research and prepares reports on technology issues that can affect business, such as this two part series prepared for the packaging industry to bring awareness to and remove the mystery from plant floor cyber security.
Keith was the originator, editor and major contributor to the definitive how-to book on workforce development for manufacturing.
CMS helps VoTech's, Community Colleges, and Universities across the country implement and certify industrial maintenance and mechatronics youth, adult ed, and degree programs. Keith was the lead certifying agent for the Industrial Maintenance Training Centers of PA and North America.
CMS has been sought out to write and speak about technology justification and return on investment.
Keith served as Director of ISA's Food and Pharmaceutical Industries Division, was an early member of the Organization for Machine Automation and Control and was the founding Director of the OMAC Packaging Workgroup, each a global engineering community of practice.
CMS led development of PMMI's Mechatronics Certification Exams and prepared study guides for electrical, mechanical, controls and PLC exams.
Working with the Mid-Atlantic Mechatronics Advisory Council and PMMI, CMS led the development of the Mechatronics & Industrial Maintenance Competency Model that was adopted by US DOL and used as part of NAM's Manufacturing Institute's Skills Certification Program for manufacturing.
In his many roles in manufacturing engineering and IT, Keith was recognized as a global leader in implementing advanced manufacturing technology architectures.
Keith's efforts in workforce development were acclaimed by state and federal officials, educators, and plant managers.
